Surface Area

471.24 units²

How to Use This Calculator
  1. Enter the shape number in the Shape field: 1 = cylinder, 2 = cone, 3 = sphere, 4 = rectangular pyramid.
  2. Enter radius and height for cylinders and cones.
  3. Enter radius only for spheres (height, length, and width are not used).
  4. Enter length, width, and height for rectangular pyramids.
  5. Volume formulas: cylinder = πr²h; cone = πr²h/3; sphere = 4πr³/3; rectangular pyramid = (l×w×h)/3. Surface area is computed alongside volume for each shape.
  6. Units are not enforced — ensure all dimensions use the same unit (e.g., all in centimeters). A cone has one-third the volume of a cylinder with the same base radius and height.

How this is calculated

Formula

Varies by shape: Cylinder = πr²h, Cone = (πr²h)/3, Sphere = (4πr³)/3
