Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 18, 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you use Calcimator, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials.
  • Usage Data: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (which calculators are used, referrer, approximate location) via Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool we self-host. It uses no cookies and does not track you across sites. We also use Google Analytics to measure site traffic; it sets cookies and collects your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you visit. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies unless they consent. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • Calculation History: If you're signed in, calculations you save are stored securely in our database.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and Google Analytics cookies to understand site usage.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain our calculator services
  • Save your favorites and calculation history
  • Improve our calculators and user experience
  • Send service-related communications (if opted in)
  • Ensure security and prevent abuse

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Hosting, authentication, and analytics services that help us operate Calcimator.
  • Analytics Providers: Google Analytics (Google LLC) processes the usage data described above. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
  • Affiliate Partners: Some pages link to products on partner sites, including Amazon. If you follow one of those links, the partner may set its own cookies. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
  • Advertising Partners: If we display ads, our advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance. We will list those partners here before ads run.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:
