How to Use This Calculator
  1. Select the Function Type (polynomial, trig, exponential) and enter the coefficient and exponent parameters.
  2. Enter the lower bound (a) and upper bound (b) for a definite integral; the result is the signed area between f(x) and the x-axis.
  3. Polynomial integrals are computed exactly using the power rule: ∫xⁿ dx = xⁿ⁺¹/(n+1).
  4. Trigonometric and exponential integrals are computed analytically using standard antiderivative formulas.
  5. A positive result means more area is above the x-axis in [a,b]; a negative result means more area is below.
