How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the Split Ratio (1:N) for your passive splitter (common: 1:32 for GPON, 1:64 for XG-PON).
- Enter OLT Transmit Power (dBm) and ONU Receiver Sensitivity (dBm) from the transceiver specs.
- Set Fiber + Connector Loss (dB) for the outside plant between OLT and ONUs.
- Select PON Type (GPON, EPON, XGS-PON, or NG-PON2) to set the downstream/upstream data rates.
