How to Use This Calculator
  1. Enter the total area you are dedicating to pollinator plants in square feet.
  2. Enter the percentage of native species you plan to include — native plants attract significantly more pollinators than non-natives.
  3. Select how many bloom seasons you want covered: 1 (spring only) through 4 (all seasons).
  4. Choose your sun exposure level and indicate whether you will include a water feature (birdbath, shallow dish, etc.).
  5. Review the Total Plants Needed, species diversity requirements, and early/mid/late bloom plant breakdowns.
  6. Use the Pollinator Score (1–100) to benchmark your garden design and make adjustments to reach a higher score.
