How to Use This Calculator
  1. Enter the total Window Area in sq ft for the facade being analyzed.
  2. Enter the SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) from the window label (0 = no gain, 1 = full gain).
  3. Select the Orientation (north, south, east, or west) and enter your Latitude.
  4. Enter the Shading Coefficient to account for overhangs, fins, or blinds reducing solar exposure.
  5. Review Peak Solar Gain and Cooling Load Contribution in BTU/hr and Annual Heat Gain in BTU.
