How to Use This Calculator

Count the total folding steps in the diagram or instructions and enter that number.
Count the distinct fold techniques used (mountain, valley, reverse, squash, petal, sink, etc.) and enter the count.
Estimate the maximum number of overlapping paper layers at the thickest part of the model.
Enter 1 if the model requires open or closed sink folds; enter 0 if it does not.
