How to Use This Calculator
- Fill a bucket with pool water, mark the water level inside and outside, and leave both undisturbed for 24 hours.
- Enter the pool water drop in inches — how much the pool level dropped during the test period.
- Enter the bucket water drop in inches — how much water evaporated from the bucket over the same period.
- Set the test duration in hours (24 hours is standard) and the pool surface area in square feet.
- If Is Leaking shows 1, your pool is losing water beyond normal evaporation — check fittings, lights, and shell.
- Use Gallons Lost per Day to estimate your water bill impact and prioritize repair urgency.
