How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the total linear feet of joints and the joint width in inches measured at the widest point.
- Set the sealant depth in inches — ideal is half the joint width (2:1 width-to-depth ratio).
- Choose sealant type: 0=silicone (±50% movement), 1=polyurethane (±25%), 2=polysulfide (±25%).
- Select the application method: 0=caulk gun (cartridges) or 1=bulk gun (sausage packs).
- Read Cartridges Needed (10.3 oz) or Sausage Packs (20 oz) and Backer Rod (linear ft) to build your material list.
