How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the total floor area in sq ft to be covered with metal deck.
- Select the deck type: 1=1.5 in composite, 2=2 in composite, or 3=3 in roof deck.
- Choose the deck gauge (16 heaviest to 22 lightest) and the side lap fastener type.
- Read Number of Deck Sheets (at 36 in coverage width) to place your material order.
- For composite deck, note Shear Stud Count and coordinate with the structural engineer's composite design.
- Use Pour Stop (LF) for edge forming and Total Deck Weight (lbs) for structural dead load.
