How to Use This Calculator
  1. Enter the measured wind speed at the known reference height.
  2. Set the reference height in meters.
  3. Input the target height (hub height) in meters.
  4. Set the wind shear exponent (Hellmann exponent) for your terrain (0.1 open water, 0.3 suburban).
  5. Review the estimated wind speed at hub height using the power law extrapolation.
