- Enter the total pour volume in cubic yards and the horizontal distance (ft) from the pump to the pour point.
- Set the vertical lift height in feet — the calculator converts this to equivalent horizontal distance at 3.5x.
- Enter your target pour rate in yd³/hr to size the pump appropriately.
- The Pump Type output (1=Line, 2=28m, 3=42m, 4=58m+ boom) tells you which pump class is needed.
- Review Estimated Total Cost including hourly rate for the minimum 4-hour billing period plus per-yard surcharges.
- For line pumps, note the Pipeline Length output to plan hose runs; boom pumps use the Boom Reach Needed output.
