How to Use This Calculator
- Rate Pain VAS (0 = no pain, 10 = worst imaginable) and Functional limitation (0 = none, 10 = severe).
- Enter the Kellgren-Lawrence radiographic grade (0 = none to 4 = severe joint space loss) from imaging reports.
- Enter months of Conservative treatment already attempted and the patient's BMI, Age, and number of significant Comorbidities.
- Review the Candidacy score (0–100): ≥70 = strong candidate, 50–69 = moderate, <50 = continue conservative management.
- Note the Surgical risk level (Low/Moderate/High), Recommendation, estimated 5-year implant survivorship (%), and expected hospital length of stay.
