How to Use This Calculator
- Enter Rider Height, Rider Weight, and Riding Style.
- Set Boot Size (US).
- Review the Recommended Length (cm) result.
- Use Minimum Length (cm) and Maximum Length (cm) to inform your decision.
How the result changes with Rider Height
| Rider Height | Recommended Length |
|---|---|
| 129 | 120 cm |
| 152 | 137 cm |
| 179 | 157 cm |
| 201 | 173 cm |
What each input means
- Rider Height
- Your height in centimeters. The board should generally reach between your chin and nose.
- Rider Weight
- Your weight in kilograms. Heavier riders need longer boards for proper flex and float in powder.
- Riding Style
- 0 = Freestyle (park/tricks, shorter board), 1 = All-Mountain (versatile), 2 = Freeride (powder/speed, longer board).
- Boot Size (US)
- Your snowboard boot size in US men's sizing. Determines waist width to prevent toe and heel drag.
What each result means
- Recommended Length
- The ideal board length for your height, weight, and style.
- Minimum Length
- Shortest suitable board length. Going shorter sacrifices stability at speed.
- Maximum Length
- Longest suitable board length. Going longer reduces maneuverability.
- Waist Width
- Minimum board waist width for your boot size. Too narrow causes toe/heel drag in turns.
- Effective Edge
- Length of edge in contact with snow during a turn. Longer effective edge = more stability.
