Chemical Peel Depth Calculator

No -- the bracket depends on Acid Type. Glycolic Acid and TCA each get their own three-step concentration schedule (Glycolic adds up to 1.5 points at 70% or higher, TCA up to 2.0 points at 35% or higher), while Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, and Jessner's Solution all share a single, lower two-step schedule that adds at most 1.0 point (lines 17-23). The same concentration percentage can therefore add a different amount to your Depth Score purely based on which acid is selected.

Those results, along with Peel Depth and Recommended Interval, are read entirely from a lookup table keyed to your Depth Score's class -- Superficial, Medium, or Deep -- and Previous Peels never contributes to that score (line 29 for the class boundaries; lines 12-16 and 49-50 for what does and doesn't feed the score). Previous Peels only affects Tolerance Built, a separate figure that has no influence on the depth classification or any output derived from it.

Tolerance Built adds half a point for every previous peel you enter, so two previous peels gives 1.0 and six gives 3.0 before the cap applies -- but the calculator stops it at 2.0 once Previous Peels reaches 4, so any value from 4 upward reports the same 2.0 figure (line 50).

Only recovery. Skin Sensitivity is applied after the Peel Depth classification is already decided -- it multiplies the class's fixed recovery-day baseline (3 for Superficial, 10 for Medium, 21 for Deep) by 1.5 for sensitive skin, 1.0 for normal, or 0.75 for resilient, then rounds the result (lines 32-37). It has no effect on Depth Score, Peeling Starts, Recommended Interval, or Risk Level, which are set purely by the depth class.
