How to Use This Calculator
  1. Enter the total number of patient rooms and beds per room (1 for private, 2 for semi-private).
  2. Select the facility type: acute care hospital (1), long-term care/SNF (2), or clinic (3).
  3. Enter the number of separate nursing units or floors with nurse stations.
  4. Enter the number of staff restrooms requiring ADA emergency pull stations.
  5. Read the total device count broken down into bedside stations, pillow speakers, bathroom pull cords, corridor dome lights, master consoles, and code blue stations.
  6. Use the system processor count and wire spool estimate for procurement and labor planning.

Nursing units/floors
Number of separate nursing units or floors with nurse stations.
Staff restrooms
Staff restrooms requiring emergency pull stations (ADA).
