How to Use This Calculator
  1. Enter the stone diameter and stone height in millimeters.
  2. Set the setting type (1 = bezel, 2 = prong, 3 = channel) and, for bezel settings, the metal thickness of the bezel wire or sheet.
  3. Review the recommended bezel / prong height and cup / setting diameter for your chosen setting type.
  4. Check the bezel strip length for bezel settings, then use the seat depth and bearing width outputs to cut the stone seat to the correct depth and ledge width.
  5. Verify the setting dimensions against your actual stone before fabricating to account for calibration variation.
