Gauze 4x4 (est.) is People in home times a risk factor tied to Outdoor / sport activity level (10 * household * risk) -- both inputs multiply it directly, but People in home's full range (1 to 12 people, a 12x spread) dwarfs Outdoor / sport activity level's full range (Low to High, only a 3x spread), so household size is the bigger real-world driver of the gauze count even though the formula treats the two symmetrically. Activity level still matters as a secondary modifier -- moving from Low to High triples the gauze estimate for a fixed household size.

Total supply units works similarly: People in home is a full linear multiplier on the base, while Outdoor / sport activity level only adjusts a much narrower factor (1.0 at Low up to 1.4 at High, a 40% swing) layered on top -- so household size again drives more of the total, with activity level nudging it up or down by less than half as much.
