How to Use This Calculator
- Enter your Body Weight in kilograms.
- Set Fist / Foot Velocity in meters per second (jab ~6-8 m/s, cross ~9-12 m/s, kick ~12-16 m/s).
- Adjust Effective Mass Ratio (portion of body mass transferred in the strike, from 0.1 for arm-only to 0.5 for elite full-body technique).
- Review Peak Force in Newtons and pounds-force, Effective Mass in kilograms, Kinetic Energy in joules, Peak Power in watts, and Momentum.
- Use the Power Rating to benchmark your striking output against amateur, intermediate, professional, and elite levels.
How the result changes with Body Weight
| Body Weight | Peak Force | Power Rating |
|---|---|---|
| 51 | 13,600 N | Elite — comparable to professional heavyweights |
| 79 | 21,067 N | Elite — comparable to professional heavyweights |
| 112 | 29,867 N | Elite — comparable to professional heavyweights |
| 139 | 37,067 N | Elite — comparable to professional heavyweights |
What each input means
- Body Weight
- Your body weight in kilograms. Heavier fighters can transfer more mass into strikes.
- Fist / Foot Velocity
- Speed of your fist or foot at impact. An average jab is ~6-8 m/s, cross ~9-12 m/s, kick ~12-16 m/s.
- Effective Mass Ratio
- Fraction of body weight behind the strike (0.1 = arm only, 0.4 = good technique with hip rotation, 0.5 = elite full-body transfer).
