How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the number of scale points (5, 7, or 10) and the number of survey items.
- Input response frequencies for each scale point across all respondents.
- Set whether the scale is bipolar (agree to disagree) or unipolar (not at all to extremely).
- Review the Mean Score, Standard Deviation, and Mode for each item.
- Use the Item-Total Correlation output to flag items with low internal consistency for revision.
