How to Use This Calculator
- Enter Rack Height (ft) — the total usable rack height, typically clear height under sprinklers minus 18 inches.
- Set Beam Levels to the number of storage tiers in each rack section (e.g., 4 for a 4-deep rack).
- Input Bay Width (ft) — 8 ft accommodates two 48-inch pallets side by side.
- Enter Number of Bays across all rows in the warehouse.
- Set Pallets per Bay to how many pallets fit width-wise in each bay (usually 2 or 3).
- Review Total Pallet Positions and Cubic Utilization to evaluate storage density and compare rack configurations.
