Safe Dilution Used is the smaller of Desired Dilution % and a per-client safety ceiling, computed with Math.min -- 2.5% for a standard adult (line 17). Once Desired Dilution % reaches that 2.5% ceiling, any further increase is simply discarded by the Math.min comparison, so Safe Dilution Used, Total Essential Oil Drops, and every note-split output all stay frozen at whatever the 2.5% figure produces.

Safe Dilution Used is calculated purely from Desired Dilution % and the client-type safety ceiling (line 17) -- Carrier Oil Amount is never part of that comparison. It only enters one step later, multiplied against the already-determined Safe Dilution Used to produce Total Essential Oil Drops (line 20), so it can change how much oil you need without ever changing the dilution percentage itself.

Client Type sets the safety ceiling that Safe Dilution Used cannot exceed: 1.0% for pregnant or sensitive-skin clients, versus 1.5% for elderly and 2.5% for a standard adult (lines 10-15). Because Total Essential Oil Drops scales directly with Safe Dilution Used, a client capped at 1.0% receives well under half the drops of a standard adult at the same Carrier Oil Amount and Desired Dilution %, once that dilution exceeds 1.0%.

Top Note Drops and Middle Note Drops are each rounded independently to the nearest whole drop from a 30% and 50% share of the total (lines 25-26), and Base Note Drops is whatever remains after subtracting those two rounded figures from Total Essential Oil Drops, with a floor of 1 drop (line 27). Because the first two shares are rounded separately rather than the split being computed all at once, Base Note Drops absorbs whatever rounding difference is left over, which can push it slightly above or below a clean 20%.
