How to Use This Calculator
- Enter Plant Flow Rate (MGD) — the total flow that will receive fluoride treatment.
- Set Target Fluoride Level (mg/L) to the CDC-recommended optimal level of 0.7 mg/L.
- Enter Natural Fluoride Level (mg/L) from your source water monitoring data.
- Select Fluoride Chemical (sodium fluoride, fluorosilicic acid, or sodium fluorosilicate) and enter Chemical Purity (%).
- Review Fluoride to Add (mg/L) and Chemical Feed Rate (lbs/day) to configure your chemical feed system.
