How to Use This Calculator
- Answer each of the 10 ACE questions about experiences before age 18 — answer yes (1) or no (0) for each.
- Categories include emotional, physical, and sexual abuse; emotional and physical neglect; household substance abuse; mental illness; domestic violence; incarceration; and parental separation.
- Each yes answer contributes 1 point; review your ACE Score (0–10).
- Higher scores (4+) are associated with greater long-term health and social risks.
- Use results to guide a conversation with a therapist about trauma history and resilience-building strategies.
