How to Use This Calculator
  1. Enter the HbA1c percentage value from the lab report.
  2. Review the estimated average glucose (eAG) in mg/dL using the ADA formula.
  3. Compare the eAG to the patient's self-monitored glucose log for concordance.
  4. Use the 3-month average glucose to assess glycemic control relative to the <7% target.
  5. Repeat HbA1c every 3 months for patients not at goal, or every 6 months when stable.
