How to Use This Calculator

Enter the patient's Weight in kg — use actual body weight for maintenance fluid calculations.
The Holliday-Segar formula applies 100 mL/kg/day for the first 10 kg, 50 mL/kg/day for the next 10 kg, and 20 mL/kg/day for weight above 20 kg.
Review the Hourly Rate in mL/hr and Daily Volume in mL/day.
