What each input means
- Number of Cams
- Total spring-loaded camming devices (SLCDs). A single rack typically has 6-12 cams. Average weight ~110g each.
- Number of Nuts
- Passive wired nut placements. A standard set has 8-13 nuts. Average weight ~45g each.
- Number of Quickdraws
- Sport climbing quickdraws or alpine draws. Most single-pitch sport routes need 10-15. Average weight ~100g each.
- Number of Slings
- Sewn or tied slings (120cm) for extensions and anchors. Average weight ~75g each.
- Rope Weight
- Total rope weight in kilograms. A 60m × 9.8mm single rope weighs ~3.5 kg. Check your rope's specs.
- Harness Weight
- Climbing harness weight in kilograms. Sport harnesses ~300-400g, trad harnesses ~400-500g.
- Helmet Weight
- Climbing helmet weight in kilograms. Modern helmets range from 200-350g.
