  1. Enter Shots on Goal For and Shots on Goal Against - attempts that reached the goaltender.
  2. Enter Blocked Shots For and Against - attempts blocked by opposing or your own skaters.
  3. Enter Missed Shots For and Against - attempts that missed the net entirely.
  4. Review Corsi For, Corsi Against, and Corsi % (all shot attempts on goal, blocked, and missed combined).
  5. Review Fenwick For, Against, and % (unblocked shot attempts only) alongside the Corsi figures.
  6. Compare Corsi % and Fenwick % to 50% - above 50% indicates positive puck possession.

What each input means

Shots on Goal For
Shots on goal by your team that reached the goaltender.
Shots on Goal Against
Shots on goal by the opposing team.
Blocked Shots For
Your team's shot attempts that were blocked by opposing skaters.
Blocked Shots Against
Opposing team's shot attempts that your skaters blocked.
Missed Shots For
Your team's shot attempts that missed the net entirely.
Missed Shots Against
Opposing team's shot attempts that missed the net.

What each result means

Corsi For (CF)
Total shot attempts for: shots on goal + blocked + missed.
Corsi Against (CA)
Total shot attempts against: shots on goal + blocked + missed.
Corsi %
CF / (CF + CA). Above 50% indicates positive puck possession. Elite teams are 53%+.
Fenwick For (FF)
Unblocked shot attempts for: shots on goal + missed shots.
Fenwick Against (FA)
Unblocked shot attempts against.
Fenwick %
FF / (FF + FA). Similar to Corsi but excludes blocked shots, which some analysts consider more predictive.
