How to Use This Calculator

Enter the total attacks attempted.
Input the number of kills (successful attacks that ended the rally).
Add the number of hitting errors (attacks directly resulting in a point for the opponent).
Review the Hitting Efficiency (kills minus errors, divided by attempts).
Compare against NCAA benchmarks: elite hitters average .300 or above, while below .100 indicates poor efficiency.

How the result changes with Kills

Kills: Attacks that result in an immediate point or side-out.
Hitting Errors: Attack errors including hits into the net, out of bounds, or blocked for a point.
Total Attempts: Total attack attempts including kills, errors, and balls kept in play.
Service Aces: Serves that result in a direct point with no return.
Digs: Successful defensive plays on hard-driven attacks.

Hitting Percentage: Primary offensive metric: (Kills - Errors) / Attempts. Elite: .400+, Good: .300+, Average: .200+.
Kill Percentage: Percentage of attacks resulting in a kill. Does not account for errors.
Error Percentage: Percentage of attacks resulting in an error. Lower is better.
Efficiency Rating (1-5): 1 = Below Average (<.100), 2 = Average (.100-.199), 3 = Good (.200-.299), 4 = Excellent (.300-.399), 5 = Elite (.400+).
