How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the player's season totals: points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and turnovers.
- Enter missed field goals, missed free throws, total minutes played, and games played.
- Review the Player Efficiency Rating (PER) - league average is standardized to 15.0.
- Check the PER Rating (1-5) for a quick read: 1 = Below Average, 3 = Above Average, 5 = MVP caliber.
- Use Minutes Per Game and Points Per Minute to gauge playing time and scoring efficiency.

- Total rebounds (offensive + defensive).

- Player Efficiency Rating
- Simplified PER. League average is ~15.0. MVP-level is 25+.
- PER Rating (1-5)
- 1 = Below Average (<10), 2 = Average (10-14), 3 = Above Average (15-19), 4 = All-Star (20-24), 5 = MVP (25+).
- Minutes Per Game
- Average minutes played per game.
- Points Per Minute
- Scoring efficiency measured as points per minute played.
