How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the child's Age in months (24–240 months, i.e., 2–20 years) — BMI-for-age is only valid for children 2 and older.
- Enter the child's Weight in kg and standing Height in cm from the most recent clinical measurement.
- Select Sex (1 = Male, 2 = Female) — BMI percentile norms differ significantly by sex and age.
- Review the calculated BMI, age-sex-adjusted Percentile, and weight Category (Underweight / Normal / Overweight / Obese).
- Check the Healthy Weight Range (in kg) corresponding to the 5th–85th BMI percentile for this child's age, sex, and height.
