How to Use This Calculator
- Enter the total number of temperature readings in the log period.
- Set average, maximum, and minimum temperatures in °F, and the number of out-of-range readings.
- Select the storage type (cold holding ≤41 °F, frozen ≤0 °F, or hot holding ≥135 °F).
- The calculator shows compliance rate, temperature score, range, whether the average is in range, critical violations, and whether corrective action is needed.
- If compliance rate falls below 95%, investigate equipment calibration, door seals, and loading practices.
How the result changes with Total Readings
| Total Readings | Compliance Rate (%) | Temperature Score (0-100) |
|---|---|---|
| 101 | 98.02 | 89 |
| 351 | 99.43 | 90 |
| 650 | 99.69 | 90 |
| 900 | 99.78 | 90 |
What each input means
- Total Readings
- Total number of temperature readings in the log.
- Average Temperature (°F)
- Average of all temperature readings.
- Maximum Temperature (°F)
- Highest temperature recorded.
- Minimum Temperature (°F)
- Lowest temperature recorded.
- Out-of-Range Readings
- Number of readings outside acceptable range.
- Storage Type
- Select the storage type
