How to Use This Calculator

  2. Garment Type — Select the type of garment you are sewing. Choose from: Top / Blouse, Pants / Trousers, Skirt, Dress, Jacket / Coat. default: 1.
  3. Fabric Width — Width of the fabric bolt. Common widths are 45, 54, and 60 inches. Choose from: 45 inches, 54 inches, 60 inches. default: 45.
  4. Pattern Repeat — Length of the pattern repeat in inches. Enter 0 for solid or non-repeating fabric. Accepts values from 0 in to 36 in (default: 0 in).
  5. Garment Size — The size of the garment you plan to make. Choose from: XS (0-2), S (4-6), M (8-10), L (12-14), XL (16-18), XXL (20-22). default: 3.
  6. Price per Yard — Cost of the fabric per yard. Accepts values from $0 to $500 (default: $12).
