How to Use This Calculator
  1. Select the 3D shape (cylinder, cone, sphere, rectangular prism, or pyramid) from the dropdown.
  2. Enter the required dimensions for your shape — radius and height for cylinders and cones; radius only for spheres.
  3. Volume formulas: cylinder = πr²h; cone = πr²h/3; sphere = 4πr³/3; rectangular prism = l×w×h.
  4. Surface area is also computed alongside volume for each shape.
  5. Units are not enforced — ensure all dimensions use the same unit (e.g., all in centimeters).
  6. A cone has one-third the volume of a cylinder with the same base radius and height.

Formula

Varies by shape: Cylinder = πr²h, Cone = (πr²h)/3, Sphere = (4πr³)/3
