How to Use This Calculator
  1. Follow the step-by-step wizard — complete each step before moving to the next. This guided approach ensures you provide all the necessary information in a logical order.
  2. Calculator Type — Calculation mode to use. Choose from: Lifetime Pet Cost, Pet Insurance Analysis, Aquarium Calculator. default: 0.
  3. Pet Type — Type of pet. Choose from: Small Dog (<25 lbs), Medium Dog (25-60 lbs), Large Dog (60+ lbs), Cat, Small Pet (hamster, etc.). default: 1.
  4. Expected Lifespan — Number of years for the calculation. Accepts values from 1 years to 25 years (default: 12 years).
  5. Location Type — enter your preferred option from the dropdown. Choose from: Rural (lower costs), Suburban (average), Urban (higher costs). default: 1.
  6. Pet's Age — enter a number in years. Accepts values from 0 years to 15 years (default: 3 years).
  7. Health Risk Profile — enter your preferred option from the dropdown. Choose from: Low risk (mixed breed, healthy), Average risk, High risk (breed-specific issues). default: 1.
  8. Coverage Level — enter your preferred option from the dropdown. Choose from: Accident Only, Accident + Illness, Comprehensive. default: 1.
  9. Annual Deductible — enter a dollar amount. Accepts values from $0 to $2,500 (default: $500).
  10. Reimbursement Rate — enter your preferred option from the dropdown. Choose from: 70%, 80%, 90%. default: 80.
  11. Tank Length — enter a number in inches. Accepts values from 6 inches to 120 inches (default: 36 inches).
  12. Tank Width — enter a number in inches. Accepts values from 6 inches to 48 inches (default: 18 inches).
  13. Tank Height — enter a number in inches. Accepts values from 6 inches to 36 inches (default: 18 inches).
  14. Tank Shape — enter your preferred option from the dropdown. Choose from: Rectangular, Bow Front, Cylindrical. default: 0.
