How to Use This Calculator
- Start by filling in the input fields below. Results update instantly as you type, so you can experiment with different values to see how they affect the outcome.
- Layer Height — Height of each printed layer. Lower values give better detail but take longer. Accepts values from 0.05 mm to 0.6 mm (default: 0.2 mm).
- Print Speed — Movement speed of the print head during extrusion. Accepts values from 10 mm/s to 300 mm/s (default: 50 mm/s).
- Model Height — Total height of the model being printed (Z-axis). Accepts values from 1 mm to 500 mm (default: 40 mm).
- Model Footprint Area — Approximate cross-sectional area of the model (length x width in cm²). Accepts values from 1 cm² to 1,000 cm² (default: 25 cm²).
- Infill Percentage — Percentage of the interior filled with material. Higher infill increases strength and time. Accepts values from 0 % to 100 % (default: 20 %).
